The Roles of Sangha Administrators in the Model of Developed Monastery Administration in Saraburi Province.

Abstract

 The main objectives of the research are : 1) to study the roles of Sangha  Administrators  in model developed monastery administration in Saraburi province, 2) to compare the roles of Sangha Administrators in the model of developed monastery administration in Saraburi province, classified by personal, factors and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions for the roles of Sangha  Administrators    in model developed monastery administration in Saraburi province. To perform this research by survey with 258 samples of Buddhist monks and board of directors in model developed monastery administration in Saraburi province. Tool used in data collection was questionnaire. They were divided into 3 sections : In the first section, it indicated the status of the answerers of those questionnaire; in the second section, it was the questionnaire based on 5 levels of rating scales, evaluating the roles of Sangha  Administrators  in model developed monastery administration in Saraburi province; and in the third one, it stated the questionnaire about problems, obstacles, and suggestions about the model developed monastery administration in Saraburi province, with reliability value equal to 0.956. The statistics used for data analysis were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.) and statistical hypothesis testing using a one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) and to compare the differences of paired means, the Least Significant Difference (LSD) was employed.

 

 

The main findings of this research are as follows :-

1) The roles of Sangha  Administrators in the model of developed monastery administration in Saraburi province, the two aspects was ranked at the overall level, the average value of 3.80. And when having considered in each aspect, it was found of management administrative and activities for the community was rated at the high level.

2) To compare the roles of Sangha  Administrators  in the model of developed monastery administration in Saraburi province, classified by personal factors, it was found that the personal factors of Pali education of the respondents were satisfied with such different, therefore accepted  the hypothesis. For the personal factors of status, age, year of monkhood, formal education and Dhamma education of the respondents were satisfied with such no different, rejected the hypothesis.

3) The problems of Sangha  Administrators  in the model of developed monastery administration in Saraburi province, including the lack of experience in the development, lack of personnel which knowledge and no agency support seriously. For the suggestions, it should be additional personnel, improved work more efficiently, should be decentralized properly and have the agency strongly supports. Using knowledge of the personnel their full potential as well as good behavior according to the discipline, be patient, selfless dedication for the stability of Buddhism.
